This side isn't any easier to climb than the north face. There's not even a tree to hang onto.

The SFU climbing rock is well-hidden and not many people know about it, except for those few who practice their bouldering skills there. You can reach it by an unmaintained, unmarked, trail, which can be overgrown at certain times of the year. I'd been running on the Burnaby Mountain trails for 12 years before I happened upon it by chance one day. I rate it at "5" on the seclusion scale. There's also a smaller boulder on the way to the climbing rock. Don't get it confused for the real thing.
